Freelancing is an alternative that might be attractive to employers who can't commit to hiring full-time, or to clients who want a personalized experience. Studying in Rome? Start with Basic Italian… 12:30pm GLAB Studio 504 A Lisa Bresia, Italian language teacher, native speaker This workshop introduces you to basic sounds, words and phrases to help you start an understanding of the Italian language. Taught by Italian language teacher and native speaker she will guide you on further study and answer any questions you might have about Italy! Students who have studied in Rome will also be presenting their advice and encouragement.
Writing a Script: Designing Algorithms using Grasshopper for Rhino 1:30pm – 2:30pm GLAB Studio B Prof. Darion Washington
This workshop introduces the parametric design tool, Grasshopper, a visual aid for generating computer algorithms. Participants should have a version of Rhino 5 or later with the Grasshopper plugin installed and ready to use before the event. A trial (or the full version) of the software can be obtained at https://www.rhino3d.com/download/ Prior familiarity with Rhino is encouraged.

The Time Traveler’s experience was created by students and faculty in the Michael Graves College at Kean University through a multi-year project partnership with the Nantucket Historical Association.
